I have been practicing since 1997 in Melbourne. I have always been interested in massage as a compliment to mainstream western medicine, and after a few years of working in the health and fitness industry I moved into the Kew Junction Medical Centre, with referrals from local GPs and psychologists.
In 2001-2004 I transferred my practice to Erin Street, Richmond in order to provide “in-house” massage to patients in the Epworth Hospital. Most of the calls from the hospital were from the Drug & Alcohol Unit, with some calls from the Oncology and Neurology wards. I developed an interest in chronic disease and chronic pain management, working with the psychologist at the Elim Pain Management Centre in Richmond, and later at the Melbourne Clinic.
I completed Oncology Massage training in 2010, and began teaching the 4 module course in early 2011 in Victoria. This was followed by Elsebeth Peterson’s course in Complex Lymphatic Therapy.
Currently I am working 2 days per week in Melbourne and have developed a second practice in Daylesford at the Springs Medical Centre, where I am included in the Medical “Team Care” approach to chronic illness.
I am accredited with St John of God Hospital in Ballarat.
